Just in time for Valentine’s Day – Swarovski crystal bracelets – red is $15 and pink & purple is $18

Long before I started doing glass and making jewelry, I was a writer. I still am.
And I do love a story, writing them, reading them, hearing them. One of the great things about selling art glass jewelry is meeting the wonderful people who are interested in my work and buy it as a gift for someone special. At Christmas, a granddaughter bought a butterfly pendant for her grandmother, whose nickname is “Butterfly”. Often a boyfriend buys something his girlfriend picks out, or a husband tells his wife, “Go ahead – treat yourself”, or a mother buys for her daughter, or a friend for another friend. I enjoy seeing the faces light up, the buyer’s joy at finding something “just right” for someone special to them.
On Feb. 5 & 6, 11 to 3, I will be having a “Valentines’s Day Love Story” sale of my art glass jewelry at My Just Desserts, 31. E. Broadway, Alton, Illinois, a lovely place to have a delicious lunch, see the river from the windows, stop on your way to eagle-watch, and have a slice of homemade pie, truly the “Best Pie on the River Road!” http://myjustdesserts.org/
I hope you stop by and take a look at my handmade, locally crafted dichroic glass jewelry. Maybe you will find something special for someone you love, or for yourself. If you do, I hope you’ll share your story with me – because I do love a story!
And while you are there, you might want to order a Red Velvet Cheesecake for Valentine’s Day (pictured above). It’s sure to be a big hit! (I bought the My Just Desserts Red Velvet Cup Cakes last year – you won’t be sorry!)

Pink and Green for Spring!
This pink and green necklace and earring set celebrates Spring. The round pink catseye beads are accented by the small spring green glass beads. The earrings are pink and green crystals, very sweet and light.
Magenta Celtic Cross
Black crystals and magenta glass beads were selected to complement the magenta celtic cross design, which is fused into the black glass base. Perfect for Beltane!
Red and Black and Green All Over?
When you work with Dichroic glass, you can never be too sure that the color you start with will be the same after it is fired in the kiln…so I take some chances, and learn, each time I fire up. I thought this would be red and black and gold, but the heat turned the glass green. It’s not what I expected, but I kind of like it – it is definitely one of a kind! I so picked beads to match the glass, and here you have it – an usual piece – and they certainly don’t sell anything like it in a big box store!
