Kerry Ellen is a lifelong student of the creative process. She has been hooked on creative writing since the first grade, when her teacher enthused, “Kerry has talent – and a very big imagination!” She has been writing ever since: poetry, fairy tales, novels, newspaper articles, journal entries, and she is a regular participant in Soul Food Café, one of the Web’s 100 best creative writing sites.
Kerry Ellen loved glass even as a child, when she was told her ancestors in Sweden were glassblowers. A few years ago she gave glass a try, and she has been hooked ever since! She does flameworking (making glass beads with a blow torch), stained glass, and most recently, kiln-fused glass. Her passion is handcrafting jewelry that features dichroic glass, Swarovski crystals, semi-precious gemstones, abalone shells, and other natural items.
You can browse here, learn more about the creative process, see the many different possibilities of hot, cold, and warm glass, and, if you see something that you like that is for sale, you can buy it for yourself or as a gift. What began as a hobby has become an addiction – Kerry Ellen is willing to part with some of her creations, so she can rent more kiln time and buy more dichroic glass (2 X 4 inches of dichro costs about $15 USD).
Stunning! Gorgeous! Exquisite!
