I’m with the show…

Click this link – I’m with the show – the St. Charles Glass Work Bench Art Show, that is!  My red butterfly in fused glass (just under the beautiful lamp on the left) is entered in the art contest.

I have always loved the Glass Work Bench – even before I started doing glass myself – and now I am honored to be in their Spring Art show!  Stop by – it’s a lovely place to visit any day, and for the rest of this week, you can see all the art entries, and, if inclined, vote for mine!

—Update – I received 3rd place in Fused Glass – thanks, everyone who voted for me!

One of my favorite memories is walking along a Carolina beach, under a summer moon – paradise!

This glass pendant of a flamingo in the marsh and moonlight is made of layers of fused glass with white gold and enamel detail.

Tree of Life

I make things I love – that make me happy – that are worth the pain in my hands when I work with glass – and this sacred tree of life, reaching up, stretching down, resonates with me. This fused glass pendant was made from recycled stained glass that was then fused. The tree is white enamel baked into the glass.

I recommend this wonderful book about the sacred tree and the cycles of life – from a First Peoples’ perspective:  http://www.amazon.com/Sacred-Tree-Reflections-American-Spirituality/dp/0941524582
